The Parenting and Men Posters project is the result of a partnership between SNAICC and the Family Action Centre at The University of Newcastle.

SNAICC Resource Service (SRS) project officer Michele Moloney and Craig Hammond from the Family Action Centre worked together with local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander men, their children, and communities.

Through the partnership the SRS has produced a series of posters portraying the positive roles Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander men play in their children's lives.

These posters portray men with young children from their families in various communities across Australia, including Hobart in Tasmania, Wreck Bay in ACT, Tiwi Island and Alice Springs in Northern Territory, and Yarrabah in Queensland.

The SRS is sharing information to assist communities to produce their own photos and posters.

Themes for the posters include the following phrases and ideas:

• Connection
• Our Kids are Close To Us
• Keeping Dads in The Picture
• Sharing Stories
• A Time To Be Together...
